Jayden turned 8 this year, and we had fun celebrating the big day with him today! We started out the day with Trix and Fruity Pebbles. Jayden had been begging to go to Classic Skating, so we thought that would be fun to do as a family for his birthday. Unfortunately when we pulled up to Classic and went to pay at the counter we found a sign saying Classic was closed this morning. We didn't have time to return later today because of naps and the Kirk Christmas Party. Jayden was so disappointed! We tried to think of other options, and Jayden came up with going to Airbourne, which wasn't too far away. The kids had lots of fun jumping around, shooting baskets, climbing a rope ladder, and just having fun! When we were done with that we came home for lunch. Because Lauren and Austin somehow stayed awake, we decided to do Jayden's party quick (presents and ice cream cake). So we had fun watching Jayden open up his presents (a camera, helium for his air swimmer shark, and a new collection of Pokemon cards, complete with a binder and page protectors. Then we had a nutritious lunch of ice cream cake. Doesn't that sound like a great birthday?
