Today was Dylan's baptism. It was a beautiful and very special day! Dylan was so excited, and he was so prepared. It is amazing to me to see the strength of his testimony, and the level of understanding that he has. He really is a special child of our Heavenly Father who will do many great things in his life. It has been such a blessing as his mother, to watch him learn and grow, especially in terms of things in the Gospel.
Today we woke up to a snowy morning. We tried to take some pictures of the boys outside, but it didn't take us too long to figure out that was not going to work. Dylan is a good example to his brothers. I hope they all remember this day, and look forward to their turn. Ethan had a knack today of not cooperating very well for pictures we wanted, and then suddenly wanting to be in pictures that weren't supposed to have him in them. I am so glad we got him to smile for at least a few!
I love these two boys. What an exciting day it was for us... our first child being baptized!
Here was our best try at a family picture today. Oh, well, at least we are all present and accounted for.
Dylan and many of the great and worthy Priesthood holders in our family. Uncle Steve, Uncle Jon, Grandpa Kirk, Daddy, Grandpa Gibson, and Uncle Jason (Uncle Tony was there today, but left before the picture). We were sad to miss 5 more wonderful uncles today... that would have been a great picture as you can imagine.
Dylan loves his Grandpas! This evening Devon and I took Dylan out to dinner to celebrate with just him and us. I loved visiting with him, and hearing about things that are important to him. I loved to listen to him tell us about how he felt today. He told us that when he was baptized, as he went into the water, he felt the Spirit stronger than he ever has before. That was the most special thing to him about today, and I am sure he will always remember this day.
