What do you think?
.jpg)
Here's a profile, or at least the best we could get from the position the baby was in.
And here's the all important question of whether the baby is a boy or a girl. Maybe I shouldn't post this picture, but I'm going to anyway.I guessing boy. I am only 16 weeks, and for the most part he didn't cooperate, but we did get this shot that looks suspiciously like a boy, I would say. If you're not good at reading ultrasounds, his body is on the right, and legs going toward the left. You can see one upper thigh pretty well. Its possible the "evidence" could be umbelical cord - but really probably not likely. So we are ready for you little boy, and excited to add to the fun in our home! Now if we could just come up with some more boy names!

Superheros
I really love the things kids pray for. They are so sweet and ... I don't know the right word for it- naive, sincere, innocent. The other night Jayden was praying and said "... and bless superman and all the superheros..." He sincerely believes in superheros (even though I have told him superheros aren't real- is that mean?), and to me it was cute to hear him pray for them.

Hooray!
I found my camera today!! I have searched, and searched, and I was finally starting to give up any last hope of finding it. Then today I went to toss some keys in one of the glove boxes in our van, and there it was!! I was so happy to see it. I don't know how I missed it. Obviously I didn't check that glove box, because it was right in front. I am really happy because about a month ago I was looking at the pictures I've got saved, and the last picture I have was on Dec. 21 - the day before Jayden's birthday. Which meant, without finding my camera I would have lost all of Jayden's birthday, Christmas, pictures of the boys at the Draper Temple, and who knows what else! Hooray, hooray. Happy day!

Happy Easter
We had a great Easter, complete with lots of egg hunts, candy, fun, family, and hopefully remembrance of our Savior and his resurrection. We kept talking about why we were having Easter, and what its true meaning is, so hopefully some of that sank in. Here are some of the highlights:
Jayden came home from preschool a so excited after having his egg hunt. He loved the little bunny ears he made. Ethan wanted to be in the picture with him.
I always laugh at how much time it seems to get everything ready to dye the Easter eggs, and then it is all done in just a few minutes, because the kids are so excited they plop the eggs in and out of the dye as fast as they can. And of course, we always end up with some colored fingers.

Funny Me
I was just talking with someone, and mentioned I was due in October. And then later in the conversation she found out I have 3 boys already. She asked me if the next baby was a boy, too. And my automatic answer was yes. Realizing my mistake, I corrected that I actually don't know yet, but I am assuming it is a boy, but still hoping it might be a girl. I think I have done a pretty good job convincing myself its a boy if my automatic response is to say it is. I am hoping in about 2 weeks to find out, but I might not have the chance until the 20-week ultrasound, which would be mid May. Hopefully I find out sooner than later so I can just know what to expect.

Big Boy Bed
I have never left any of my kids in their crib as long as I have left Ethan in his. I think for sure by their second birthday they were in a toddler bed. Dylan was around 19 months, I think. But there hasn't been any real need to kick him out, and he has been so easy with his crib, that I haven't worried about it. I figure with another baby coming in about 6 months, now would be a good time to start the transition, so that by the time the baby is here, Ethan doesn't see the crib as his anymore. I set up the toddler bed a few days ago, not really thinking Ethan would sleep in it any time too soon, but I wanted to have it be something familiar when he was ready to try it. I was surprised when that night Ethan climbed right into his bed and he told Devon that he didn't want to rock in the rocking chair and he didn't want to sleep in his crib. We went to turn off the light and shut the door and he suddenly got the saddest look on his face. Then as the door closed he really let out a sad cry. So we went back in, and he was quite upset for a little while. Finally he let Devon rock him and put him in the crib. I'm not quite sure what he was thinking, but it was like he was all excited to sleep in the bed, and then as reality hit, he wasn't so sure he felt comfortable in a new bed.
The next day at nap time, again he climbs in bed, insists on not rocking or laying down in his crib. And then as I go to leave the room a sad look kind of crosses his face. Just then the doorbell rang, so I left the door open, told him to stay in bed, and went to get the door. I totally forgot about him, and about twenty minutes later went to check on him, and this was what I found.
Notice the two blankets he insists on sleeping with (they are actually two of the same blanket - I have 3 of them because they are his special blankets- we would not survive without them) and the webkinz dog that he loves. He is so funny about it all. I don't even know how the two blanket thing started, but he insists on it now. I think for a few days there were two blankets in his crib just by chance and he decided he liked that. It kind of defeats my purpose of having multiples to make washing easier, but oh well. He didn't sleep as long as he normally does, and he woke up pretty upset, but its a start. Its always kind of sad to have my baby transition from the crib (even if he's not so much a baby anymore), because to me it is like the signal that my baby is now a toddler- he's no longer my sweet little baby. I have always been glad to have done it when pregnant, because I know that soon I'll have another little one in the crib. I don't know what I will do when it is my last.
