A visit back in time...

In September Devon and I celebrated our anniversary (11 years!).  Of course we were three months late, but summer had just been to busy for us to be able to do anything of much, unless you consider running Ragnar together on our Anniversary as "celebration."  Not me.  So we planned a little getaway back to where we met... Logan at USU.  I had been in Logan twice since we moved away 8 years ago, but Devon hadn't, so it was so fun to go there together.

We enjoyed walking around the campus.  Of course a lot has changed!  But one thing hasn't.  Old Main, the Quad, and the "A."  If you're familiar with USU folklore, students can become "True Aggies" only if they kiss on the "A" on homecoming night, or kiss a True Aggie on one of the few designated nights throughout the school year.  Funny enough, Devon and I never participated in this tradition while we were students.  Oh, well.  We will just count this.  ;)

Of course we also had to take a walk around Old Main Hill.  Devon reminisced of his days in a conditioning class running up and down the never ending flights of stairs going up it.

We had a beautiful hike up to the Wind Caves up Logan Canyon.  Can I tell you how beautiful Logan and the surrounding areas are?  It made us want to move there... almost.  Logan has such a wonderful feel to it, just a great hometown feel.  I don't know if it's just because I lived there for 5 years, or if its just how Cache Valley feels, but it was amazing to be back there.

Can you see the caves?

The view was beautiful!  Too bad the air was still horribly polluted from the fires in Idaho.  It was so bad on the day we drove into the valley that you couldn't see hardly anything.  Of course the day after our hike, which was the day we left, a storm came in and blew all the pollution away.

The leaves were just past their peak colors, but were still beautiful!  This fall was amazing, which was surprising for the lack of moisture we have had this last year.

After our hike of course we had to go get some Aggie Ice Cream.  Oh, the good memories!

We also had fun driving all around to see all the old apartments and other important places to us.  We enjoyed eating at our two favorite restaurants:  Callaway's in Smithfield, and Angie's in Logan.  Mmm... great food - and it was as good as we remembered!

It was such a fun little walk down memory lane!  An amazing weekend!
