This was a birthday different than most. First off, this is the first time Jayden had to go to school on his birthday. Typically, there isn't school because of Christmas Break, but Alpine School District had some weird scheduling this year and we ended up with a week less than we did last year for a break, and part of that included the break starting just the day before Christmas Eve. It was such a bummer! Another difference was Jayden didn't want sugar cereal. Instead he wanted me to make some fruit pie.
It was a pretty busy day between school, birthday, and we had the Kirk Family Christmas celebration that night. Christmas was on a Sunday, so with Church in the mix of things, it made it hard to visit both families on that day. So, we had fun celebrating Jayden as a family at our house before we made out way up to Murray.
Abby and Anna and their family brought a birthday poster for Jayden to help make his birthday recognized and special. Then we did all our Christmas exchanges. I think the highlight was the kids getting BYU pajamas. The littlest kids got something different - my girls got BYU hairclips, which they love!
