Devon, Dylan, Jayden, and I went to General Conference on Saturday morning. We had just spent a little bit of time over the last few days with our friends from when we lived in New York (who now live in North Dakota). Scott and Robbie and their kids Joshua and Kenzi came out for a conference for work, and we are so glad they called us and spent some time with us. You know its a great friendship when it doesn't feel like it has been 7 years since we have lived near each other. It was so fun to visit and catch up with them. It makes me really wish they lived closer.
We knew they had tickets to conference, and they told us what section while they were over on Friday night, but we didn't have our tickets yet and weren't sure what section our tickets were in. The next day when we got our tickets, it was the same section! Once we got to the Conference Center and found some seats with some scouting friends. I tried to call Robbie to see where she was, and to ask if I could save some seats for them. She told me they were already there, and in their seats, but that they were near some sort of scouting group. I said that's where we were too, and we both started looking around and realized they were on the row behind us and at the other end of the row. It was perfect, because we got the scouting friends to switch some of the seats they were saving so we could shift over next to Robbie and Joshua. It was so fun to sit with them, and just a wonderful coincidence.
