This last holiday weekend we had the chance to stay at Jeremy Ranch. My parents had rented a condo for the week, but couldn't use all the days, so they let some of us take a few nights up there. It was so fun! I love quick little getaways! We enjoyed a nice little Sunday stroll around the area on Sunday after going to church (they have a very nice ward up there). What we were really hoping to see was a moose, because supposedly there are quite a few moose that are seen all the time. Of course we didn't have any luck of seeing any! Such a bummer!
Me and the older boys went for a long stroll while Lauren and Austin were supposed to be taking naps. Of course the way it turned out was they finally fell asleep just as we got back, and it woke them back up. Not quite what I had in mind. We found this fun little pond, and threw some rocks in it. Sadly, Ethan threw more than just rocks. He had a special Mickey Mouse ring that he had gotten from someones birthday just the week before. As he threw a rock, the ring slipped off and landed in the muck in the pond, and there was no way to find it. The edge of the pond was lined with a few feet of mud, and then the water was super murky. There were lots of tears!
We also went to the Olympic park near Park City and had fun playing in the museum. They have some fun little games there, and some bobsleds, luges, and other things to sit in and on. We also went into Park City and rode the free trolley up and down the Main Street, and played at an awesome park down Old Ranch Road (or something like that) in Kimball Junction. We got to practice our rock skipping skills some more, because they have a little pond there, too.
The rest of the time we spend playing games, and exploring around the area some more. I love weekends like this!
