Lauren

These are the pictures from the hospital, so these were taken when she was about a day old, I think.  It really is crazy to me to think she has grown so much all ready.  It is so crazy that the time with a tiny one goes so fast, but it is so fun to see them develop and grow.  I love the smiles, and laughs that first come, then each of the other milestones, as they begin to interact more and more, and accomplish so much that first year. Most important of all, is the love and joy that each little one brings to your home and your heart. It seems like they have always been there and you couldn't imagine life without them.

Doesn't that make you want to snuggle with a little newborn?



These pictures were taken when Lauren was 11 months old.  I love the little bit of personality shown in them.

At one Lauren is a cheerful, smiley baby.  She often gets the giggles, and just laughs at anyone in the family.  When she is excited for something she waves her hands in a girly way that just makes me laugh.  She is very ticklish, as are all of our children.  She is very patient with the boys, and loves to be around them.  She loves to click her tongue and make kissing noises.  She plays pat-a-cake. She is a Mama's girl, and also a Daddy's girl - basically she just doesn't want anyone else to hold her if Mom or Dad are around.  She gets upset when she sees a babysitter come.  She is very friendly to people as long as they don't hold her.  If they do, she either cries or dives back to Mom or Dad.  She does love that game, too - back and forth in the arms.  She loves to eat finger foods (cheese, cucumbers, and peas are some of her favorites).  She can stand up in the middle of the room - seriously one of her favorite things right now.  New things for her: she finally got her first tooth 5 days before she turned one, took her first step one week exactly before her birthday, took 4 steps the night before her birthday.  She loves to talk on a play phone and say "Hi," and she nods her head and says "ya." She has curly hair - but the tightest curls are around the bottom and especially the back- the top is more wavy.  She loves to jump in her jumper.  She is the sweetheart of the family.  The boys just adore her and love having this special girl as a sister.
